Magnesia worker passes away

Manuel Avis, employed for a number of years at the National Magnesia Company’s plant in this city passed away at the Community hospital Sunday following an illness of several months. He was a native of the Azores Islands änd was 60 years of age. He left no relatives here, as far as can be learned. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the home of Layng & Tinney, interment being at Union Cemetery.
