James Ayres, brother of Charles Ayres of the Tremont House of this town, died in St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco yesterday morning. He was a native of Oxford, England and 62 years of age. Mr. Ayres had only been a resident of this state for three years and had been ill for sometime previous to his arrival. Interred in Union Cemetery.
