OBITUARY ---------------

LOUISE M. BARKER

Redwood City Democrat

Nov 30, 1905

Summoned by Death. Wife of Auditor George Barker.

After a protracted and painful illness, Mrs. Louise M. Barker, wife of the well known County Auditor, quietly closed her eyes in death Tuesday morning. Mrs. Barker was a native of Massachusetts, aged 57 years. She was one of the county’s old residents and previous to her marriage to George Barker, which occurred in 1896, she was the wife of James Whitehead, who died in San Mateo many years ago.

Mrs. Barker possessed all the lovable traits of ideal womanhood. She was a kind and thoughtful neighbor and a loving and sympathetic wife. The bereavement to her husband is one that cannot be expressed in words. In his great loss he has the sympathy of many friends. The funeral look place from the family home at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. C.C. Kirkland officiating. The burial was in Union Cemetery.
