Schilling Caretaker Found Dead in Room

Calvin Gates, 65, caretaker at the Schilling estate in Portola, was found dead in his rooms there late yesterday. Death was apparently due to a heart attack.

Funeral services are to be held tomorrow morning from the Layng and Tinney funeral home here at 9:30 o'clock. Interment is to be at Union Cemetery. Gates was a native of Canada.
