Gatts, John Wesley

John Wesley Gatts, aged 87, resident of Redwood City for many years and employed by Gray Thorning Lumber Company, passed away rather suddenly at his home on Spruce Street last Thursday. The deceased was a native of West Virginia.

Gatts had followed the lumber business here for a great many years, having first been employed by the Virginia Mills Company, later with the Redwood Lumber Company and for the past five years with the Gray Thoming Lumber Company. His wife Mrs. Mary E. Gaits survives.

The funeral was held Saturday from the parlors of Layng and Tinney. Rev. C.A. Parker of the Baptist Church conducted the services The interment was in Union Cemetery.
