OBITUARY ---------------

MARGARET MINNER

Redwood City Democrat

Match 20, 1902

Mrs. Margaret Minner, wife of the late Captain Perry Miiiner, passed away Thursday morning after a brief illness, though for a year or more she had been quite feeble owing to her advanced age. Mrs. Minner was one of the early pioneers of Redwood City, having resided here over thirty years. She was beloved by all who knew her. Her husband, Captain Minner, died in 1887 leaving a sufflcient estate to care for his wife in her older years. In early days, he ran a schooner from here to San Francisco and did a good business and was well known to all sea faring men. Mrs. Minner was greatly attached to her husband and never completely recovered from the shock his death caused. She was loved and honored by the community where she lived so long. During the past few years owing to her enfeebled health, she was taken care of by James Crowe, who was recently appointed her guardian.

The funeral took place Saturday afternoon from the Episcopal Church, where services were held at 2 o’clock. Interment in Union Cemetery.
