ANDREW NELSON

Andrew Nelson, 80, for 60 years a resident of the Woodside area, died yesterday at a San Mateo hospital after a long illness. He was widely known here as having come to Woodside over half a century ago to engage in the logging business. Later he was a gardener on a number of large Woodside estates. He was a native of Sweden who came to the United States at the age of 18.

He was the husband of the late Mrs. Louise Nelson and the father of Mrs. Emma Kipp of San Francisco, Mrs. Anna Sorenson of Daly City, Mrs. Matilda Wickner of Santa Clara, Mrs. Lillian Karn of San Mateo, Robert Taylor of San Francisco, and Benjamin and William Taylor of Stockton.

Funeral services will be held from the Layng and Tinney mortuary in Redwood City tomorrow at 2 p. m. and interment will be in a family plot at Union cemetery, Redwood City.
