OBITUARY ---------------

FRANZ PASOLD

Redwood City Democrat

July 2, 1896

Franz Pasold, a native of Germany, aged about 66 years, was found dead in a cabin on the Borden and Hatch timber tract last Monday. He had evidently been dead a month or more. He had been a resident of the county 16 or 17 years and was quite well known. His occupation during the summer was peeling bark for the tanneries and he had a keen sense of honor. No relatives in this country survive. Coroner Crowe held an inquest and a verdict of death from natural causes was found. The funeral took place from the undertaking parlor of Jas. Crowe yesterday afternoon. Rev O.M. Hester officiated.
