Mrs. Josephine Smith, 76, Redwood City resident for the past 47 years, died last night after a lengthy illness.

A native of Livermore, Calif., she was the widow of the late Eli Smith, and is survived by two sons, Floyd W. Smith and A. C. Anderson of Redwood City.

Funeral servies will be held tomorrow at Shaffer's mortuary in Brentwood. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery there.

Friends are nvited to pay their respects at Layng and Tinney chapel, Redwood City, until 10 a.m. tomorrow.
