OBITUARY ---------------

HIRAM W. WALKER

Redwood City Democrat

November 11, 1915

The funeral of Hiram W. Walker, who passed away in San Francisco, took place Thursday morning. Many friends of the deceased attended the services, which were held here in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The pall bearers were F.W Glennan, P.A. Ryan, James Hannon and M. Reynolds. The interment was in Union Cemetery.

The late Hiram W. Walker was one of the most polished men that it would be possible to meet. He had the grace and manners of a nobleman. He was one of the very best of friends. He was the last of the old coterie that in the early days was prominent in the county’s affairs. Mr. Walker was one of the early supervisors, served a term as sheriff and assessor, was an official at San Quentin and in his last years, held an important position at the custom house.

Judge Buck adjourned court Thursday to permit the attorneys to attend the funeral of Mr. Walker.
