OBITUARY ---------------

MRS. HARRIET A. WELCH

Redwood City Democrat

April 15, 1909

Mrs. Harriet A. Welch, one of this city’s old residents, passed away quietly to rest Tuesday night after a long and trying illness. Mrs. Welch was the widow of R.C. Welch, whose death occurred twenty years ago. She was a native of Boston, aged 83 years and came to California in 1851. Her residence in San Mateo County began in 1867 and she came to Redwood in 1874 and made this place her home until her death. In her early life Mrs. Welch was a music teacher of ability. She was highly esteemed and many will hear of her death with heartfelt regret. The deceased leaves two children W.R. Welch of Santa Cruz and Mrs. George Eikerenkotter with whom she resided.
