THE HISTORIC UNION CEMETERY ASSOCIATION'S 2015 ANNUAL MEETING

On October 17th, 2015, we had our annual meeting. It was a joint meeting with the Archives Committee.

I want to thank all the HUCA Board Members for another great year. We have a number of projects going on in the cemetery, and progress is slow but sure.

I also want to thank the members who showed up for the meeting. I would really love it if you interested members, full of new, fresh ideas, would contact me and join us at a meeting (or two..or three). We can always use help.

Near the beginning of the meeting HUCA Board Secretary Abby read her minutes from the last Annual Meeting, and they were (slightly) corrected and approved.

President Ellen gave a recap of all the things that had happened in the cemetery this year - the tours, the cleanups, and our 10 restoration projects.

Board member Jim Munro made a donation to help defray the cost of replacing Letta Durham's marker. This is one of our 10 projects, and Fontana currently has the plans.

Here's a picture of our attendees. Thank you everyone for showing up!

After the Archives Committee section of the meeting, we had refreshments provided by the Archives Committee of the Redwood City Library.

Then we went on a tour! Each HUCA Board member presented one marker. Unfortunately I did not get pictures of Susan presenting the Clouds, or Joyce presenting the Fingers.

Here is Chris presenting the marker of his relatives - the Zanoni/Cavalli's.

Linda chose to present Joel Mansfield, complete with in-season decorations.

Ellen presented the unusual Melchior Durst marker.

Abby gave a very polished presentation of the Mezes plot.

Thank you everyone for another great year on the HUCA BOARD!
