Laid to rest.

Sammy, the five year old child to T. M. Cook, formerly the editor of the Times and Gazette, died of diphtheria on Saturday last. The burial services were conducted by Rev. A. L. Brewer of San Mateo. Although the boy had been ailing for some days, his sudden death was unexpected. In this bereavement there is cold sympathy in words. Better perhaps that the child should be taken while it is yet innocent and pure.
