OBITUARY ---------------CHESTER P. FOX
At two o’clock yesterday morning, Chester P. Fox breathed his last at the residence of his brother, George W. Fox in this place. He was born in Redford, Mich., September 11, 1840. He was the youngest son of the late Judge Benjamin F. Fox. Mr. Fox arrived in this state in 1853 and was engaged in farming until 1860, at which time he went to Nevada and was engaged in driving for the Overland Stage Company. Afterwards he was appointed guard at San Quentin under Warden Ames. Since leaving there, he has been in the employ of the Northern Pacific Express Co. Mr. Fox has for nearly twenty years been a member of Bay View Lodge No 109, I00F. and for several years of Hope Encampment No. 60. He was an exempt member of Redwood City Fire Company and was at one time foreman of the company.
