Wife of Well Known Redwood Leader Dies
Mrs. Lillian Fox, wife of Edwin B. Fox of the Fox McNulty Lumber Company, Redwood City, died late Saturday at the family home, 532 Arguello Street, Redwood City, following a brief illness. She was prominent in affairs of the Redwood City Eastern Star Lodge, and the order of Rebekah and is moruned by a large circle of friends. The family is among the pioneer leaders of the city.
In addition to her husband, the deceased leavs a daughter, Miss. Mildred Fox, teacher in the Redwood City schools, and two sons, Robert and Philip Fox, both living in Redwood City.
Funeral services were held this afternoon with the Rev. R. J. Currie, pastor of the First Congregational church, Redwood City, officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery.

Much sorrow was expressed in this city Saturday when it was learned that Mrs Lillian A. Fox, wife of Edwin F. Fox had passed away rather suddenly at her home, 532 Arguello Street. Mrs. Fox who had not been in the best of health for several months, suffered a stroke of paralysis about seven o’clock in the morning and died about 12 o’clock. Her husband and children were with her when the end came.
Mrs. Fox was a woman of sweet and lovable nature who had a large circle of friends during her many years of residence in Redwood City. She was a member of Sequoia Chapter No. 203 and Olive Branch Rebekab Lodge No. 48 100F.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Edwin B Fox, of Fox-McNulty Lumber Co., two sons Phillip B. and Robert Fox, one daughter Miss Mildred Fox, teacher at Lincoln School on Whipple Ave. and was the sister of Daisy R, Chas. W. and David Callaway of Courtland, Sacramento County.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Chapel of Jas. Crowe and were attended by a large number of relatives and friends. The many beautifùl floral offerings attested the high esteem Mrs Fox was held in the community. Members of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge were in attendance at the service. Rev. R.J. Currie, pastor of the Congregational Church who officiated, spoke on the beautiful life of Mrs. Fox, her devotion to her family and her many good deeds. A solo was rendered by Prof. Otis Carrington. Interment was in Union Cemetery.
