Miss Mary E. Hilton, a former teacher in this county, died in her home in Burlingame on Wednesday. She was one of the early teachers of the county and was well known in the peninsula and particularly at Redwood City. She was a member of the local Congregational Church for thirty years. The funeral took place from the latter church yesterday afternoon and after the services the body was placed in the Hughes Vault in Union Cemetery. The deceased was a warm personal friend of Mr. and Mrs. Hughes.
