ESTHER F. SEARS

Mrs. Esther F. Sears, wife of the late Charles Sears and a former resident of this county died in Lotus, El Dorado County on Monday. Her body was removed to this city and at 3:30 yesterday she was interred at Union Cemetery after funeral services had been held at the Congregational Church. The deceased was a member of Gen. Geo. S. Evans W.R.C. and her burial was attended by members of that organization in a body. Mrs. Sears was a native of New York, aged 67 years.

The deceased lady and her husband will be recalled by many former friends in this county. They resided at Searsville up to ten years ago, when they removed to El Dorado County. Mr. Sears, who was a brother of John Sears, the La Honda Pioneer, passed away two weeks ago. He was an ex-soldier and a former member of Gen. Geo Evans Post G.A.R. Two daughters survive the couple - Mrs. Edwin George of La Honda and Mrs. William White of Watsonville.
