JOHN ANDERSON

Captain John Anderson who for the past seven years has made his home with Herman Anderson, died on Monday, his 72nd běrthday. The deceased was a native of Sweden, and came to California in 1854. He was one of the earliest bay navigators and ran a schooner from San Francisco to Sacramento long before the railroad was built. Deceased leaves a wife in Oakland. The funeral took place Wednesday forenoon, the intennent being in Union Cemetery.
