Cook Commits Suicide by Swallowing Strychnine

Tuesday noon, when the men on James Curran's ranch went to the house for their dinner, they found the cook dead in bed. By his side was some strychnine, part of which he had evidently taken. The man had work around here for some time and went by the name of Charles Brown. He had told some of his friends, however, that this was not his real name, but that he had assumed it after deserting from some ship. The Inquest was held last night at 7:30 o'clock.
