OBITUARY ---------------MRS. MARTHA DURHAM
Redwood City Democrat
January 8, 1914
Mrs. Martha Durham, a resident of San Mateo County for 62 years, died suddenly at her home in this city Saturday evening about 7 o’clock. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy six weeks ago and had been in a precarious condition ever since. Her condition grew suddenly worse Saturday evening and a physician was summoned, but she passed away within a few minutes.
Mrs. Durham was a widow of Ott Durham, who died about four years ago. She was 66 years old at the time of her death and crossed the plains from Missouri with her parents when only four years old.
Mrs. Durham is survived by three sisters, Mrs. S.J. Shaw, Mrs. Sarah Wentworth and Mary L. Rice and three children, George T. Durham, Frank E. Durham, and Mrs. N.C. Cummings. The funeral took place Tuesday from the Congregational church, the interment being in Union Cemetery.
